The world today reminds me of an old Lethal Weapon quote, "They fuck you at the drive-thru, okay? They fuck you at the drive-thru! They know you're gonna be miles away before you find out you got fucked! They know you're not gonna turn around and go back, they don't care. So who gets fucked? Ol' Leo Getz! Okay, sure! I don't give a fuck! I'm not eating this tuna, okay?"

I swore I wouldn't play the "blame" game, but I'm giving myself this one pass. I'm sure I'll lose some followers, but I'm here to express my views, not to be polite. I'll save politeness for FB.

I know the general push is, “Kumbayah, let's all regroup and fight the good fight.” But, frankly, between the greed and narcissim of white male billionaires and the finger-pointing and blaming of Progressives, I'm tired of making nice.

All the blaming Kamala, or the Democrats, or your old granny is nonsense. I tried staying out of the “blame game”, but you all just won't stfu.

Evidently, Progressives wanted Supreme Court Justice Sottomayor to step down. I am relieved neither her nor President Bidan have bowed to their wishes so far. I think her experience and strength are needed now more than ever. Of course, the future now is up for grabs.

Before you move on over to Bluesky, know that it was founded by young, white, Progressives who, along with OAC and Bernie Sanders, continually undermined Kamala because they were pissed that their agendas might not be her top priority. The same folks, basically, who helped lose the election in 2016.

I supported Bernie on principal for decades, for the most part, even though I found him to be immensely annoying and disagreed with him frequently. I supported AOC during her campaign and throughout her fights because I admired her courage. I honestly was routing for the new generation of politically active Americans. I understood that young Progressives felt differently about many issues than I do, but I supported those differences. I felt we could work together to come up with solutions.

Now, I do not condone their part in the loss of this chance we all had for a better future. I will no longer support them or their issues on any format. I will stick with the devils I know, who don't wear masks like they are on my side when, really, they are just as bad as the bad guys.

How many Progressives said they were voting for Kamala and secretly voted for someone else? Just asking. How many affluent white women?

While I'm finally getting it all out…as someone who has traveled extensively in Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Lebanon, Syria and most countries in that area, and who has close family members who are Arab and Persian, the vast majority of you don't know diddly squat about the thousands of year old cultures or conflicts in the Middle East. Think about who is fueling your rage against Israel and why. And there we are, back to shiekhs and billionaires. Yes, we do need a solution. Yes, many are suffering. I have seen, first hand, the suffering. I guarantee you, the people you've picked, even inadvertently, will only lead to greater suffering and, perhaps, even to WWIII. Please stop acting like, based on your Google searches, you have answers to conflicts that have baffled humanity for decades.

No. I will not give up. But, from now on, I'll be very careful who I get in bed with to win an election. We'd be better off with the enemies we know than the “friends” we can’t depend on.
